The correspondence between the classes of the COS18 table and the COS23 table is not always bidirectional. In other words, the correspondence COS18 → COS23 is not necessarily the same as COS23 → COS18. Example:

In COS18 there is:

4.1.1.1 - Cork oak SAF - 4.2.1.1

In COS23 there is:

4.2.1.1 - Cork oak silvopastoral areas - 4.1.1.1 4.1.1.1 - Cork oak agrosilvopastoral areas - 4.1.1.1

A correspondence in the direction COS18 → COS23 does not imply that this is the only possible correspondence in the reverse direction, which means that the relationship between tables is not bidirectional.
